Anastasia Elena Baranoff was destined for a life in the arts. Her dynamic passion, vibrant imagination, pure sense of color and true attention to detail, are the elements that distinguish her fine art. Constantly inspired by great literature, music, opera, ballet, Anastasia’s every creation is a bold proclamation of her individual voice.
Anastasia is fifth generation of genuine egg tempera painters in a unique family of distinguished fine artists and icon writers, whose creations can be seen in leading museums and collections around the world.
As a fine artist she is devoted to painting in genuine egg tempera and promoting this unique medium in the new millennium.
Her art has been exhibited at the Haggin Museum in California, Leepa Rattner Museum of Art in Florida, Bennington Center for the Arts in Vermont, Mall Galleries, The Mall in London, England, among other respected exhibition venues.
All her life Anastasia has been surrounded by artistic people and the magic of the creative process. Constant world travels have had an inspirational influential on her since early childhood, from the gallant sophistication of London, poetic intricacy of Paris, tranquility of Florence, to the captivating wintry landscapes of Russia.
While studying fine art drawing and painting at School of The Arts of San Francisco, a high school for gifted and talented students, Anastasia acted as an official Museum Ambassador for the M.H. de Young Museum and brought the wonderful world of art and art history to young children in public elementary schools across the city by conducting traveling lectures and workshops.
Graduating with high honors from School of the Arts, Anastasia was awarded the Dr. Robert Squeiri Fine Art Award, a prize bestowed on the top art student for outstanding achievements in fine art.

Leading art colleges, such as Otis College of Art and Design, Chicago Art institute, Pratt Institute, Parsons School of Design, complimented Anastasia’s talent and academic work by awarding her scholarships and extending invitations to study on their course.
Ultimately, Anastasia chose to attend the BFA course at Parsons School of Design in New York City, and later transferred to the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, were she completed her degree in Fashion Design with distinction.
While studying at the Academy, Anastasia triumphed over fourth year Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students across the San Francisco Bay Area, by being nominated and winning the Fashion Group International FGI Foundation Scholarship Award for her excellence in design.
Upon graduation Anastasia planned to intern in Paris, when the experience of working backstage at the ballet changed her life. The extraordinary ambiance of theater, the emotional rush of majestic music, the beauty of dance, opened up a new world full of character and depth.

Changing her path completely, Anastasia dove into the world of costume design and reconnected with her passion for fine art, traveling to London, England to study on the BA (Hons) Fine Art course at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. While in London, Anastasia lost herself in the culture of great theater, art museums and galleries.
Anastasia’s numerous awards and honors include Congressional Arts Competition Special Recognition from the Congress of the United States of America, Best Work by a Young Artist Award in the 38th & 37th International Fine Art Exhibition of Miniature Art at Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art and Dunedin Fine Arts Center, for her works of visual art created in the rare technique of miniature painting.
In 2013, Anastasia co-founded Egg Tempera Movement, dedicated to the creation of imaginative fine art and the rebirth, promotion and preservation of painting in the rare medium of egg tempera, together with her mother and artistic collaborator Elena Vladimir Baranoff, renowned egg tempera fine art master, whose art creations are housed in prominent fine art collections around the world, including the collection of HM King Charles III.
As a natural extension of her creativity, together with Elena Vladimir Baranoff, Anastasia ventured into filmmaking as screenwriter, producer and director, originating film projects with a unique visual style and voice, seen through the prism of fine artists.
